Billing

Your Cosine account works across Cloud, CLI, Desktop, and VS Code with one shared billing setup. Billing is managed per team in Settings → Billing — each team has its own subscription, Cosine Credit pool, and invoices, and the page always shows billing for the team you’re currently viewing. This applies to single-person teams too, since every Cosine account has a team associated with it.

  • Hobby — $20 per seat / month. Each seat includes 5M Cosine Credits per month. Additional seats each add another 5M Cosine Credits to your team’s monthly credit pool.
  • Professional (Pro) — $200 per seat / month. Each seat includes 60M Cosine Credits per month. Additional seats each add another 60M Cosine Credits to your team’s monthly credit pool.

Included credit allocations renew at the start of each billing cycle.

One account across Cloud, CLI, Desktop, and VS Code

Section titled “One account across Cloud, CLI, Desktop, and VS Code”

Your Cosine account works across Cloud, CLI, Desktop, and VS Code. Your Cosine Credits are shared across all of these surfaces, so you can use the same budget from whichever Cosine product fits your workflow.

These are not separate billing systems or separate credit pools per surface. Usage from any Cosine surface contributes to the same billing and usage totals.

Billing is managed through your team account. Every Cosine account has a team associated with it because a team is created during onboarding, and it is completely fine to use Cosine as a team of one.

If your team is on a paid plan, additional active team members are billed as additional seats on the same team subscription.

After your included monthly allocation is exhausted, usage moves to non-expiring addon credits.

  • Top-ups start at $20
  • Each $20 pack adds 5M addon credits
  • Preset top-up amounts shown in Cloud are $20, $40, $100, $500, $1,000, and $5,000, plus a Custom option
  • Addon credits do not expire and carry over into the next billing period if unused

The billing page tracks total Cosine Credit usage for your team during the current billing period. Depending on the model and request, credit usage can be calculated from:

  • input tokens
  • output tokens
  • cache-related tokens when applicable
  • reasoning-related token consumption where applicable

The billing page is where you manage your subscription, view usage, and keep your team topped up with Cosine Credits.

Included monthly credits are used first, and different models consume credits at different rates based on their pricing multiplier. See Models and Pricing to learn how model pricing works.

At a glance, the page shows:

  • Monthly spend — your team’s current monthly cost, seat count and per-seat price, and the current billing period dates, with shortcuts to view full usage and open the billing portal.
  • Credit balance — total credits used this billing period, credits remaining, and the percentage of your allocation still available. The allocation bar breaks the balance down into included and addon credits.
  • Addon credits — how much you’ve topped up during the current billing cycle. Addon credits live in their own billing section and stay on the account until they are used.

The Used value reflects total inference usage for the current billing period across your team.
