Forking Tasks, Improved PRs, and AutoDoc Linking
Forking Tasks, Improved PRs, and AutoDoc Linking cover image

Whether you’re exploring different approaches in parallel or sharing your workflow more clearly, these mid-October releases give you more flexibility and control when using Cosine.

Explore without losing momentum

Sometimes, progress depends on trying multiple approaches. Whether you’re debugging, A/B testing, or weighing different design paths, it helps to branch your thinking.

Forking gives you a clean slate while preserving your progress.

With one click, you can duplicate any task and continue in a new thread. Cosine picks up right where you left off. Same context, same code, new direction. It’s ideal for chasing alternatives, testing fixes, or even inviting collaborators to explore a different line of thinking.

One path goes left, the other goes right. You get to see both.

AutoDoc linking

A subtle but handy upgrade, AutoDoc now updates your browser URL as you navigate through different pages. That means cleaner, shareable links when you want to point teammates to a specific page of your document.

Improved PR controls

  • Auto-update before push When Cosine pushes, it now pulls the latest remote branch and merges any changes first. If conflicts pop up, you’ll be prompted to resolve them in-platform, then the push continues

  • Manual sync in PRs New Sync buttons in the PR panel let you pull the target branch into your task branch on demand. Cosine still auto-checks for conflicts and lets you resolve them in-platform, though this ensures your branch also has the very latest code, so Cosine can use new updates immediately.

Try forking on your next task

Instead of picking one idea and hoping it works, you can now develop multiple strategies side by side. Pursue new ideas in parallel, all within Cosine’s unified workspace.
