Cosine CLI 1.1 Update

We’ve been listening to feedback and building. Our CLI just got a notable upgrade with version 1.1, making Cosine faster, more flexible, and easier to steer. Whether you’re running on a high-performance rig or a humble machine, the CLI now delivers a smoother, smarter experience across the board.

Nudge in real time

Users can now nudge Cosine mid-run. If it’s heading in the wrong direction, just say so. Add constraints, clarify goals, or suggest a different approach, without cancelling and restarting.

This is another step towards truly agentic pair programming. We’re proud to be among the first CLI agents to implement this.

Pause and resume tasks

Sometimes, Cosine heads down a path that’s not quite right. Now, you can hit pause.

With task pausing, you can stop an active run, reflect, and then continue when you’re ready. It’s perfect for moments when you want to recalibrate before moving forward.

Even better? If you start a new session and there’s a resumable state, Cosine CLI gives you the option to pick up right where you left off. Context is preserved, flow is unbroken.

Better output visibility

Previously, when Cosine executed commands in your terminal, the output could get messy, mixed in with agent responses or buried in scrollback. With 1.1, there’s a dedicated terminal output view. You can now see exactly what commands ran and what they returned, all in one clean interface.

If you run lots of scripts or need full traceability of agent activity, this one’s for you.

Fixed login issues

Some users hit a wall when trying to log in. The CLI required a platform session to authenticate. That’s fixed. Login now works even if you’re not already signed into the platform, smoothing out a common friction point.

Available now

Alongside these updates, we’ve also made major performance improvements under the hood. The CLI now launches faster and runs more efficiently, especially on lower-end machines. This opens the door for more developers to bring Cosine into their workflow, regardless of device.

CLI 1.1 is live. Update your CLI or install it fresh via:

  • macOS – brew install CosineAI/tap/cos

  • Linux – curl -fsSL https://cosine.sh/install | bash

Follow the guide in our .

This release brings Cosine closer to being the most flexible, responsive CLI coding agent on the market.
